Planning is underway for a Never Forget Garden Veterans Memorial to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The Never Forget Garden Veterans Memorial will include a:

• Standing Granite monument with wreath symbolizing the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
• Never Forget Garden Plaque from the Honor Guard Society of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
• Memorial Garden.
• Park bench for visitors to reflect and “never forget” our patriots.

In addition to paying tribute to all missing and unknown veterans, this memorial will also honor the thousands of American Revolution soldiers who died and now lie in unknown places, many buried in mass graves.

The Never Forget Garden Veterans Memorial is a joint project of numerous community groups including, but not limited to, local chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution [DAR], local Sons of the American Revolution Chapter [SAR], A&M Garden Club and other local garden clubs, organizations, veterans, and numerous individuals. Cost for this project is estimated to be approximately $70,000 to $100,000.
