The Arts Council of Brazos Valley Awards Grant

The Arts Council of Brazos Valley (ACBV) has awarded a $13,500 grant to the BVVM to promote the capital campaign for the Vietnam Memorial. The funds will be used to promote the campaign in statewide newspapers and periodicals. The Vietnam Memorial will be dedicated by 2015, the 50th anniversary of the war. Memorial sculptor, J. Payne Lara of Navasota, was recently named their first Artist of the Year by the ACBV. The award was given at their “Celebrate the Arts” banquet at the Hilton Hotel and Conference Center on September 18.
